Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb beef sirloin or chuck, cubed into 1.5-inch pieces
  • 6 cloves garlic cloves, minced
  • 3 tbsp white vinegar
  • 3 leaves bay leaves
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pinch salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. 1

Toss beef cubes with minced garlic, vinegar, bay leaves, and 1 tbsp olive oil in a large bowl.

  2. 2

Let sit for 5 minutes while you thread beef and bay leaves onto skewers, alternating pieces.

  3. 3

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 90 seconds.

  4. 4

Working in batches, sear skewers 2 minutes per side without moving. Edges should char and beef should be medium-rare in the center.

  5. 5

Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve immediately with crusty bread or alongside rice.
