Ingredients
- 2 whole fresh pomegranates
- ½ cup pomegranate seeds (arils), reserved
- 1 cup ice
- 1 tbsp sugar or honey (optional)

Cut pomegranates in half. Hold each half over a bowl and tap the back with a spoon until all seeds fall out into the bowl.

Pour seeds into a blender and blend for 15 seconds until mostly broken down but still some juice sprays the sides.

Strain mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a pitcher, pressing seeds gently with the back of a spoon to extract all juice.

Stir in sugar or honey if desired. Fill glasses with ice and pour juice to the rim.

Top each glass with a small spoonful of reserved pomegranate seeds. Serve immediately.
