Ingredients
- 1.5 cups canned fava beans, drained and rinsed
- 2 cloves garlic cloves, minced
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- ½ whole lemon (juiced)
- 2 whole pita bread
- 1 cup tomato and red onion, chopped

Combine fava beans, garlic, 2 tbsp olive oil, and lemon juice in a bowl.

Mash with the back of a spoon until creamy but still chunky, ~90 seconds.

Taste and season with salt and pepper. Drizzle with remaining 1 tbsp olive oil.

Warm pita in a skillet over medium for 30 seconds per side until soft.
