Crispy Sambusa with Cabbage & Chili

Ingredients
- ½ lb ground beef
- 12 sheets phyllo or wonton wrappers
- ¼ medium yellow onion, minced
- 2 whole fresh chili peppers (serrano or jalapeño), minced
- 2 cups shredded green cabbage
- 3 tbsp neutral cooking oil

Brown ground beef in a skillet over medium-high with minced onion and half the chili, breaking up meat, ~5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then cool slightly.

Lay one wrapper flat. Place 1 tbsp beef filling in the lower-left corner and fold into a triangle, sealing edges with a dab of water.

Heat 2 tbsp oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Pan-fry triangles in batches, ~90 seconds per side, until golden and crispy.

Toss cabbage with remaining minced chili and a pinch of salt. Serve sambusas hot with the cabbage slaw on the side.
