Ingredients
- 8 oz frozen french fries
- 2 whole frikandel (Dutch beef sausages)
- 3 cups neutral oil for frying
- 1 tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup ketchup or curry sauce for serving

Heat oil in a deep heavy pot to 350°F. Use a thermometer to track — don't skip this step.

While oil heats, slide frozen fries into the oil carefully. Fry 5–6 minutes until golden and crispy.

Remove fries with a slotted spoon onto a paper-towel-lined plate. Sprinkle with salt.

Pat frikandels dry with paper towels, then carefully lower into the same oil.

Fry 4–5 minutes until the skin is dark brown and splits slightly. Turn once halfway.

Lift frikandels out onto a paper towel. Season with salt and pepper, then serve with fries and ketchup or curry sauce.
