Ingredients
- 1.25 lbs chicken thighs and drumsticks, patted dry
- ½ cup all-purpose flour
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- ¾ cup neutral cooking oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 12 oz frozen french fries

Toss chicken with salt, pepper, and minced garlic until evenly coated.

Dredge each piece in flour, shaking off excess. Let sit 2 minutes.

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high until it shimmers, about 2 minutes.

Working in batches, fry chicken skin-side down without moving until golden brown, 5-6 minutes.

Flip and fry until cooked through and internal temp reaches 165°F, 4-5 minutes longer.

While chicken finishes, bake fries in a separate oven at 400°F for 12 minutes until golden.
