Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (any short shape)
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • ½ cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. 1

Boil pasta in salted water until al dente, about 10 minutes; reserve 1 cup pasta water before draining.

  2. 2

In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat and cook minced garlic 30 seconds until fragrant.

  3. 3

Pour in heavy cream and stir; bring to a gentle simmer and cook 2 minutes until slightly thickened.

  4. 4

Return drained pasta to the pot and toss to coat; add reserved pasta water a splash at a time until silky.

  5. 5

Grate parmesan over the top, toss once more, and season with salt and black pepper to taste.

  6. 6

Serve immediately while hot and creamy.
