Ingredients
- 2 lb clams
- 4 cloves garlic
- ½ cup dry white wine
- ¼ cup fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 loaf crusty bread

Scrub the 2 lb clams under cold water, discarding any that are open or cracked. Set aside.

Heat the 2 tbsp olive oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the 4 sliced garlic cloves and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Add the clams and the 0.5 cup white wine. Cover and cook, shaking the pot occasionally, until the clams open, about 5-7 minutes.

Discard any clams that stay closed. Stir in the 0.25 cup chopped parsley and season with salt and pepper.

Serve immediately in bowls with the cooking liquid and the crusty bread for dipping.
