Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 sesame seed buns
- 4 cheddar cheese slices
- 8 slices bacon
- 1 tomato
- 1 onion
- 4 leaves lettuce
- 4 tbsp ketchup
Instructions
- 1
Cook the 8 bacon slices in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
- 2
Divide the 1 lb ground beef into 4 equal portions and shape into patties slightly wider than the buns. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- 3
Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side for medium, until browned and firm to the touch.
- 4
Place 1 cheddar cheese slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking, covering the pan to melt the cheese.
- 5
Toast the 4 sesame seed buns cut-side down in the same skillet until golden, about 1-2 minutes.
- 6
Assemble each burger: bottom bun, lettuce leaf, tomato slice, onion ring, patty with cheese, 2 bacon slices, and 1 tbsp ketchup. Top with the other bun half and serve.
