Ingredients

  • 1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade, room temperature)
  • 6 oz mozzarella, cut into 12 sticks (1/2 oz each)
  • 3 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

    Divide dough into 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.

    Flatten one ball into a 3-inch circle. Place a cheese stick in the center.

    Wrap dough around cheese, pinching seams closed. Roll gently into a stick.

    Repeat with remaining dough and cheese until all 12 breadsticks are formed.

    Heat 1 tablespoon butter in a 12-inch skillet over medium heat until foaming.

    Add 4 breadsticks in a single layer. Cook 2 minutes per side until golden brown.

    Transfer to a plate. Repeat with remaining butter and breadsticks in two batches.
