Ingredients

  • 2 medium ripe tomatoes
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella
  • 8 leaves fresh basil leaves
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

    Slice the tomatoes into 0.25-inch thick rounds. Pat dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.

    Slice the fresh mozzarella into 0.25-inch thick rounds of similar size to the tomato slices.

    Arrange tomato and mozzarella slices alternately on a serving plate, slightly overlapping.
