Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • ¾ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1.5 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, sliced

Instructions

  1. 1

Boil penne in salted water until al dente, about 10 minutes. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

Heat butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Once foaming, add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2 minutes per side.

  3. 3

Add sliced bell pepper to the skillet and sauté until slightly softened, 2–3 minutes.

  4. 4

Sprinkle Cajun seasoning over the shrimp and pepper, stir well to coat evenly, 30 seconds.

  5. 5

Pour in cream, bring to a gentle simmer, and cook until sauce thickens slightly, 2 minutes.

  6. 6

Toss cooked pasta into the skillet, stir until coated, and serve immediately.
