Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbsp butter, cold and cubed
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ¾ cup whole milk
  • ¼ tsp salt

    Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.

    Add cold butter cubes and rub with your fingers until mixture looks like breadcrumbs.

    Pour milk into the center and stir with a wooden spoon until a shaggy dough forms.

    Turn dough onto a floured surface and gently pat into a 1-inch-thick circle.

    Cut into 8 wedges like a pizza. Place on a baking sheet 2 inches apart.

    Bake 12–14 minutes until the tops are golden brown and a skewer comes out clean.
