Ingredients

  • 4 slices brioche loaf, 1-inch-thick slices
  • 2 large eggs
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp butter, divided

Instructions

    Whisk together eggs, milk, sugar, and vanilla in a shallow bowl until smooth.

    Heat 1 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium heat until foaming, ~90 seconds.

    Dip two brioche slices into the egg mixture for 2 seconds per side, coating fully but not soaking.

    Pan-fry coated slices 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and edges curl slightly.

    Transfer to a plate. Repeat steps 3–4 with remaining butter and brioche slices.

    Serve warm with maple syrup, fresh berries, or powdered sugar.
