Ingredients
- 1 cup brewed black tea, cooled to room temperature
- ½ cup whole milk
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- ½ cup cooked tapioca boba pearls (from a package or can)
- 1 cup ice cubes
Instructions
- 1
Pour the brown sugar into a small bowl and add 1 tablespoon of hot water, then stir until the sugar dissolves completely and looks like a smooth, glossy syrup.
- 2
Place the cooked boba pearls in the bottom of a tall glass, then pour the brown sugar syrup over the boba and stir gently a few times to coat the pearls evenly.
- 3
Add the ice cubes to the glass on top of the coated boba, filling the glass about halfway.
- 4
Pour the cooled black tea into the glass until it is three-quarters full, filling the space around the ice.
- 5
Pour the milk slowly into the glass to finish filling it, stirring gently with a long spoon or straw a few times so the flavors blend slightly.
- 6
Insert a bubble tea straw (or regular straw) into the glass and serve immediately while the ice is still cold.
