Ingredients
- 6 medium eating apples (Granny Smith or Bramley), cored and sliced
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 100 g butter, cold and cubed
- ¾ cup light brown sugar
- ¾ cup plain flour
- ¼ tsp salt

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Toss apple slices with cinnamon and 2 tablespoons sugar. Spread in a buttered 8x8-inch baking dish.

Combine oats, flour, remaining brown sugar, and salt in a bowl. Rub in cold butter with your fingertips until mixture looks like breadcrumbs.

Sprinkle crumble topping evenly over apples. Do not press down.

Bake 35–40 minutes until crumble is golden brown and apples bubble at the edges.
