Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.75 cups whole milk
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1.5 cups fresh blueberries

Instructions

  1. 1

Preheat waffle iron. Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a large bowl.

  2. 2

Whisk eggs and milk together in another bowl until combined, then stir in melted butter.

  3. 3

Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients. Stir until just combined—lumps are okay.

  4. 4

Lightly oil or butter the waffle iron to prevent sticking.

  5. 5

Scoop batter into the center of the iron, sprinkle a handful of blueberries on top.

  6. 6

Close the lid. Cook until the waffle stops steaming and is golden brown, 3–4 minutes.

  7. 7

Transfer to a plate. Repeat with remaining batter and blueberries.

  8. 8

Serve hot with maple syrup, butter, or fresh whipped cream.
