Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup water
  • 1 cup mixed berries
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. 1

In a bowl, mix 1.5 cups flour with 0.5 cup water and a pinch of salt until a dough forms. Knead for 2 minutes until smooth, then cover with a towel.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, toss 1 cup mixed berries with 2 tbsp sugar. Let sit while you roll the dough.

  3. 3

On a floured surface, roll dough to 1/8 inch thick. Cut into 3 inch circles. Place 1 tsp berry filling in each, fold over, and press edges to seal.

  4. 4

Boil a large pot of salted water. Drop in pierogies in batches, cook until they float, about 3 minutes. Remove with a slotted spoon.

  5. 5

Melt 2 tbsp butter in a skillet over medium heat. Fry pierogies until golden on both sides, about 4 minutes total. Serve warm.
