Ingredients

  • 4 nests store-bought pavlova nests (or homemade meringue shells)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 cups fresh mixed berries (raspberries, strawberries, blueberries)
  • ½ lemon lemon, zested
  • ½ cup espresso (cooled, or 4 shots brewed fresh)

Instructions

    Whip heavy cream with sugar until soft peaks form, ~2 minutes. Fold in lemon zest gently.

    Spoon whipped cream into each pavlova nest, creating a small well in the center.

    Pile fresh berries on top of the cream, pressing gently so they nestle in.

    Place each nest on a dessert plate and pour a shot of cooled espresso into a small cup alongside.

    Serve immediately. Sip the espresso between bites to cut the sweetness.
