Ingredients

  • 3 strips bacon strips
  • 1 large eggs
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese
  • 2 slices bread
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

    Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, ~5 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel.

    Leave 1 tbsp bacon fat in the skillet. Crack the egg into the pan over medium heat.

    Fry until whites set but yolk still jigles, ~3 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.

    Toast bread until golden. Butter one slice lightly.

    Layer cheese on the buttered toast, then the egg, then bacon. Top with second slice.

    Slice diagonally if desired. Serve immediately.
