Ingredients

  • 200 g frozen acai berries (unsweetened)
  • ¾ cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon raw honey
  • ¾ cup fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 large sliced ripe banana
  • ½ cup granola (store-bought or homemade)
  • 3 tablespoon unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 tablespoon raw almonds, roughly chopped

Instructions

  1. 1

Add 100 grams of frozen acai berries (about half the package) and 0.375 cup of unsweetened almond milk to a high-powered blender. Blend on high speed for 30-45 seconds, stopping to scrape down the sides with a spatula if needed, until you reach a thick, soft-serve consistency — it should look like frozen yogurt, not a smooth liquid. If it's too thick to blend, add another splash of almond milk one tablespoon at a time.

  2. 2

While the acai blends, prepare the fresh toppings: rinse 0.375 cup fresh blueberries and pat dry. Slice 0.25 cup fresh strawberries (about 3-4 berries) into thin strips — you want them visible and not mushy. Peel and slice 0.5 of a ripe banana into 1/4-inch coins. Roughly chop 1 tablespoon of raw almonds into bite-sized pieces.

  3. 3

Pour the blended acai mixture into a serving bowl, smoothing the top with the back of a spoon. If you're making two bowls, divide the mixture evenly between two bowls — aim for about 1 inch thick so there's room for toppings.

  4. 4

Arrange the toppings in organized clusters around the bowl: create a small mound of blueberries on one section, fan the strawberry slices on another, layer the banana slices on another. Sprinkle 0.25 cup of granola over the entire surface so some pieces sit on top of the fruit and some nestle into the acai. Finish with 1.5 tablespoons of unsweetened shredded coconut scattered over the top and 1 tablespoon of chopped almonds for crunch and visual appeal.

  5. 5

Drizzle 0.5 tablespoon of raw honey in a thin stream over the bowl — the sweetness complements the slight tartness of the acai. Serve immediately with a spoon (not a fork), starting from the edges so you get acai with every bite of topping.
