Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked sushi rice (or short-grain white rice), still warm
  • 1 tbsp white miso paste
  • 1 sheet nori (seaweed sheets), cut into strips
  • 2 tbsp sesame seeds (white or black)
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix warm rice with miso paste and butter, stirring gently until the miso dissolves and rice is glossy.

  2. 2

Stir in sesame seeds and soy sauce until evenly distributed.

  3. 3

Wet your hands with water and grab a handful of rice (about 0.75 cup). Cup it in your palm and gently press into a triangle shape.

  4. 4

Wrap a strip of nori around the middle of the triangle so it sticks to the rice.

  5. 5

Repeat until all rice is shaped into triangles. Serve at room temperature or warm.
