- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- ½ tsp salt

Add oil to a large pot with a lid over medium-high heat. Let it heat for 1 minute until shimmering.

Add popcorn kernels and salt. Cover with the lid and shake the pot to coat everything evenly.

Listen for popping. Once kernels start popping, shake the pot every 10 seconds to prevent burning.
