10-Minute Garlic Marinara

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can canned tomatoes (28 oz can, whole or crushed)
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

    Heat olive oil in a medium saucepan over medium heat for 60 seconds until shimmering.

    Add minced garlic and cook for 30–45 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant but not brown.

    Pour in canned tomatoes with their juice, breaking up whole tomatoes with the back of a spoon.

    Simmer uncovered for 6–8 minutes, stirring occasionally, until sauce thickens slightly.

    Stir in fresh basil, then taste and season with salt and pepper to your preference.

    Serve hot over pasta, or use as a dip, pizza base, or soup ingredient.
