Ingredients
- 8 oz sushi-grade tuna
- 1 avocado
- 3 scallions
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 lime
Instructions
- 1
Dice the 8 oz tuna into 1/4-inch cubes and place in a bowl. Dice the 1 avocado into similar-sized cubes and add to the bowl.
- 2
Thinly slice the 3 scallions, separating white and green parts. Add the white parts to the tuna mixture; reserve the green parts for garnish.
- 3
In a small bowl, whisk together the 2 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tsp sesame oil, and juice of the 1 lime.
- 4
Pour the dressing over the tuna and avocado, then gently toss to coat without mashing the avocado.
- 5
Divide the tartare between two plates. Sprinkle with the reserved scallion greens and the 1 tbsp sesame seeds. Serve immediately.
- 6
Optional: add a pinch of chili flakes or grated ginger for extra kick.
