Ingredients
- 1 cup cooked short-grain rice
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 sheet nori (dried seaweed)
- ½ tsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- 1
Place the 1 cup hot cooked rice in a bowl. The rice should be steaming hot, as the heat will gently cook the egg.
- 2
Crack the 1 large egg directly over the rice. Use a fork or chopsticks to quickly stir the egg into the rice until it is well combined and the rice becomes creamy and slightly glossy.
- 3
Drizzle the 1 tsp soy sauce over the egg-rice mixture and stir again to distribute evenly. The rice should turn a light golden brown.
- 4
Tear the 1 sheet nori into small pieces and scatter them over the top of the rice.
- 5
Sprinkle the 0.5 tsp sesame seeds over the nori. Serve immediately while the rice is still warm.
