- 1.5 cup heavy cream
- 2 cup Swiss cheese
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 clove garlic
- 1 tbsp fresh rosemary
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper

Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with butter or oil.

Peel and thinly slice the 2 lb potatoes (about 1/8-inch thick). Mince the 2 garlic cloves and chop the 1 tbsp rosemary.

In a bowl, whisk together the 1.5 cups heavy cream, 1 egg yolk, minced garlic, chopped rosemary, 1 tsp salt, and 0.5 tsp pepper.

Layer half the potato slices in the dish, pour over half the cream mixture, and sprinkle with 1 cup of the Swiss cheese. Repeat with remaining potatoes, cream, and cheese.

Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake until potatoes are tender and top is golden and bubbly, about 15-20 more minutes.
