Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1.25 cups whole milk
  • 3 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 lb fresh strawberries
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream

Instructions

    Whisk flour, baking powder, and a pinch of salt together in a large bowl.

    In another bowl, beat eggs with milk and melted butter until combined.

    Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and stir until just combined — small lumps are okay.

    Heat waffle iron and lightly butter it. Pour batter and cook until golden and crispy, ~3–4 minutes.

    Whip heavy cream with 1 tbsp sugar and a pinch of vanilla until soft peaks form, ~2 minutes.

    Slice strawberries and pile them on warm waffles with whipped cream. Serve immediately.
