Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp chili oil
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

  1. 1

Press the 14 oz firm tofu between paper towels for 5 minutes to remove excess water, then slice into 1/2 inch thick strips.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, whisk together the 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tbsp chili oil, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 2 minced garlic cloves, and 1 tsp sesame oil.

  3. 3

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the tofu strips in a single layer. Cook until golden and crisp on both sides, about 6-8 minutes total.

  4. 4

Pour the sauce over the tofu and toss to coat. Cook for 1-2 minutes until the sauce is absorbed and the tofu is glossy.

  5. 5

Serve warm or at room temperature, garnished with sliced green onions or sesame seeds if you like.
