Ingredients
- ¾ lb beef sirloin steak
- 1 medium red onion
- ½ cup fresh cilantro
- ¼ cup fresh mint
- 1 whole lime
- ½ tsp chili flakes

Season the 0.75 lb beef sirloin steak with salt and pepper. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a skillet over high heat until shimmering.

Sear the steak for 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, until browned and firm to the touch. Transfer to a cutting board and let rest for 5 minutes.

Thinly slice the 1 medium red onion and place in a large bowl. Add the 0.5 cup cilantro leaves and 0.25 cup mint leaves.

Slice the rested beef thinly against the grain and add to the bowl. Squeeze the juice of 1 lime over everything and sprinkle with 0.5 tsp chili flakes.
