Ingredients

  • 1 lb Live crabs or precooked crab legs
  • 2 tbsp Gochugaru (Korean red chili flakes)
  • 2 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Fish sauce
  • 3 cloves Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp Ginger, minced
  • 3 cups Water or seafood broth

Instructions

    Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high until shimmering, about 90 seconds.

    Add garlic and ginger, stirring constantly for 30 seconds until fragrant.

    Stir in gochugaru, soy sauce, and fish sauce, coating the aromatics for 20 seconds.

    Pour in water or broth and bring to a boil, about 2 minutes.

    Add crab (live or precooked legs) and simmer until cooked through, 8–10 minutes.

    Taste and adjust salt, heat level, and soy sauce to balance. Serve hot in a bowl.
