Ingredients
- 3 lbs chicken wings
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1.5 tbsp paprika
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1.5 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper
- 2 cups wood chips (hickory or oak)
- 1 cup water

Soak wood chips in water for at least 30 minutes.

Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels.

Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, kosher salt, and cayenne pepper in a bowl.

Coat wings evenly with the dry rub, massaging it into the meat.

Preheat smoker to 225°F (107°C).

Drain soaked wood chips and add to smoker box or directly to coals.
