Ingredients
- 1 lb steak (ribeye or NY strip), cut into 1.5-inch cubes
- 1 large bell pepper (any color), cut into 1-inch chunks
- 1 medium onion, cut into 1-inch chunks
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 to taste salt and pepper

Thread steak cubes, bell pepper chunks, and onion onto four skewers, alternating pieces.

Rub skewers all over with olive oil, then season generously with salt and pepper.

Heat a heavy skillet over high heat until smoking, about 2 minutes.

Lay skewers in the skillet without moving them for 3 minutes until deeply charred.

Turn skewers and char the other side 2 minutes, then transfer to a plate.
