Ingredients

  • ½ lb ground pork
  • ¼ lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 shiitake mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, finely chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 12 wonton wrappers
  • 2 tbsp water

Instructions

  1. 1

Chop shrimp into small pieces; mix with pork, mushrooms, half the green onions, soy sauce, and sesame oil until well combined.

  2. 2

Place a wonton wrapper in your palm; add about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center.

  3. 3

Gather the edges of the wrapper around the filling, leaving the top open. Gently squeeze to form a cylinder shape.

  4. 4

Tap the bottom on the counter to flatten; place on a parchment-lined steamer basket.

  5. 5

Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling. Brush the tops with water and sprinkle with remaining green onions.

  6. 6

Steam over boiling water, covered, for 12-15 minutes until the filling is cooked through and the wrappers are translucent.

  7. 7

Serve hot with soy sauce or chili oil for dipping.
