Ingredients

  • 14 oz silken tofu, soft
  • ⅓ cup brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger, fresh
  • ½ cup water

Instructions

  1. 1

Bring brown sugar, minced ginger, and water to a boil in a small saucepan over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes.

  2. 2

Lower heat and simmer the syrup for 2 minutes to infuse the ginger flavor, then remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. 3

Gently scoop the silken tofu into two serving bowls, keeping it as intact and jiggly as possible.

  4. 4

Pour the warm ginger syrup over the tofu, allowing some to pool around the sides.

  5. 5

Serve immediately while the syrup is still warm and the tofu is silky.
