Ingredients
- 6 whole chicken drumsticks
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 10 whole dried red chilies
- 1 tablespoon Sichuan peppercorns
- 4 cloves garlic cloves
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch

In a large bowl, toss the 6 chicken drumsticks with 2 tbsp soy sauce and 2 tbsp cornstarch until evenly coated. Let marinate for 10 minutes.

Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the chicken and sear until golden brown on all sides, about 8 minutes. Remove and set aside.

Reduce heat to medium and add the remaining 1 tbsp oil. Add 10 dried red chilies, 1 tbsp Sichuan peppercorns, and 4 sliced garlic cloves. Stir-fry until fragrant, about 1 minute.

Return the chicken to the pan. Add the remaining 1 tbsp soy sauce and stir to coat. Cook for 5 minutes, until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce thickens.

Add 2 cups broccoli florets and stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, until bright green and tender-crisp. Serve hot.
