Ingredients

  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ¾ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon white pepper
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons green onions, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a bowl. Gradually add water, stirring until a dough forms. Knead until smooth, about 5 minutes. Cover and rest 30 minutes.

  2. 2

Chop shrimp into small pieces. In a bowl, combine shrimp, remaining salt, white pepper, sesame oil, and green onions. Mix well and refrigerate.

  3. 3

Divide dough into small balls. Roll each into a thin circle, about 3 inches wide.

  4. 4

Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each wrapper. Fold and pleat the edges to seal, forming a crescent shape.

  5. 5

Arrange dumplings in a steamer basket lined with parchment paper, leaving space between them.

  6. 6

Steam over boiling water for 8-10 minutes until the wrappers are translucent and the shrimp is cooked through.

  7. 7

Serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
