Ingredients

  • 1.5 lb beef sirloin
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 medium bell pepper

Instructions

  1. 1

Cut the 1.5 lb beef sirloin into 1-inch cubes and place in a bowl.

  2. 2

In a small bowl, mix 3 tbsp olive oil, 2 tbsp lemon juice, 3 minced garlic cloves, 1 grated onion, 1 tsp salt, and 0.5 tsp black pepper.

  3. 3

Pour the marinade over the beef, toss to coat, cover, and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

  4. 4

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes. Cut the 1 bell pepper into 1-inch pieces.

  5. 5

Thread the marinated beef and bell pepper pieces onto skewers, alternating, leaving a small gap between pieces.

  6. 6

Preheat a charcoal or gas grill to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill.

  7. 7

Grill for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is charred on the outside and reaches your desired doneness (about 135°F for medium-rare).

  8. 8

Remove from the grill and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
