Ingredients

  • 1 patty sausage patty (pre-cooked or fresh)
  • 1 whole large egg
  • 1 whole croissant, fresh or day-old
  • 1 slice cheddar cheese slice
  • ½ tbsp butter

Instructions

    Heat butter in a small skillet over medium-high until foaming, about 30 seconds.

    If sausage is fresh, cook it 2 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.

    Crack egg into the same skillet. Cook until whites set but yolk jiggles when shaken, about 2 minutes.

    Slice croissant in half. Layer cheese on the bottom, then sausage, then fried egg. Close the top.

    Serve immediately while the egg is still warm and cheese begins to melt.
