Ingredients

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or tenderloin, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 whole lime (juiced)
  • 3 whole garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tbsp chili paste (sambal) or sriracha
  • ¼ cup crispy fried shallots

Instructions

  1. 1

Mix peanut butter, soy sauce, lime juice, garlic, and chili paste in a bowl until smooth.

  2. 2

Add beef cubes to the marinade and toss until coated. Let sit 5 minutes while you prepare the pan.

  3. 3

Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high until shimmering, about 1 minute.

  4. 4

Working in batches, sear beef 2 minutes per side without stirring until edges brown. Transfer to a plate.

  5. 5

Return all beef to the skillet, toss with any remaining marinade, and cook 1 more minute until caramelized.
