Ingredients
- 1 whole pig head
- 2 tbsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 4 cloves garlic
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
Instructions
- 1
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Rinse the 1 whole pig head and pat dry with paper towels.
- 2
Rub the pig head all over with 2 tbsp salt and 1 tsp black pepper, massaging into the skin and crevices.
- 3
Mince the 4 garlic cloves and mix with 2 tbsp soy sauce and 1 tbsp sesame oil in a small bowl.
- 4
Brush the garlic-soy mixture evenly over the pig head, ensuring it coats the skin and meat.
- 5
Place the pig head on a roasting rack in a baking pan, skin side up. Roast for 3 hours, until the skin is deeply golden and crispy, and the meat is tender when pierced with a fork.
- 6
Remove from the oven and let rest for 15 minutes. Sprinkle with 1 tbsp sesame seeds before serving.
- 7
Carve or pull the meat from the bone and serve warm.
