Ingredients
- 1 lb ribeye steak
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper

Take the steak out of the fridge 30 minutes before cooking to bring it to room temperature.

Pat the steak dry with paper towels, then rub both sides with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

Heat a grill or grill pan over high heat until smoking hot, about 5 minutes.

Place the steak on the grill and cook for 4-5 minutes without moving, until deep grill marks form.

Flip the steak and cook for another 4-5 minutes for medium-rare, or until it reaches 130°F internally.

Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest on a cutting board for 5 minutes before slicing.
