Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes
- 1 small onion
- 1 large egg
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

Peel and grate the 4 potatoes and 1 small onion. Place in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.

In a large bowl, mix the grated potato and onion with 1 egg, 2 tbsp flour, and 1 tsp salt until well combined.

Heat 3 tbsp vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Drop spoonfuls of the potato mixture into the hot oil, flattening each into a thin patty.

Cook the patties until golden brown and crispy on the bottom, about 4-5 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until equally golden, another 4-5 minutes.

Drain on paper towels and serve hot. Add pepper, paprika, or herbs if you like.
