Ingredients

  • 1 ball (about 1 lb) store-bought pizza or flatbread dough
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp sesame seeds
  • 1 tbsp nigella seeds (optional, for authentic flavor)
  • ½ tsp coarse sea salt

Instructions

    Preheat oven to 425°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

    Stretch and shape the dough into a 10–12 inch oval on the parchment, roughly 1/4-inch thick.

    Melt butter in a small saucepan over low heat, then brush half of it across the dough surface.

    Sprinkle sesame seeds, nigella seeds, and sea salt evenly over the buttered dough.

    Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden brown and the center is cooked through.

    Brush the remaining melted butter over the hot pide immediately after removing from oven. Serve warm.
