Ingredients

  • ½ cup milk
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup rainbow sprinkles
  • 2 cups vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. 1

In a medium saucepan, combine 0.5 cup milk, 0.25 cup sugar, 2 tbsp butter, and 1 tsp vanilla extract. Heat over medium until butter melts and sugar dissolves, about 3 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. 2

Remove from heat and let cool for 5 minutes. Whisk in 1 cup flour and 2 eggs until smooth batter forms, about 1 minute.

  3. 3

Heat 2 cups vegetable oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C). Drop tablespoonfuls of batter into hot oil, frying in batches without crowding, until golden brown and puffed, about 3-4 minutes per batch.

  4. 4

Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. While still warm, roll each ball in 1 cup rainbow sprinkles until fully coated.

  5. 5

Serve immediately or store in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
