Ingredients

  • 1 loaf (10 oz) store-bought pound cake (or sponge cake)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp food coloring (gel, assorted colors)
  • 8 oz fresh strawberries
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

    Slice pound cake into 1/2-inch-thick slices, then cut each slice into 1-inch cubes.

    Pour cream into a bowl with powdered sugar and vanilla. Whip until stiff peaks form, ~2 minutes.

    Divide whipped cream into 5 small bowls. Add 2–3 drops of a different food coloring to each; stir until evenly tinted.

    Hull and halve strawberries. Layer cake cubes, colored cream, and berries into 4 glasses, repeating colors from bottom to top.
