Ingredients
- 1 lb frozen french fries
- 2 cups cooked pulled chicken
- ½ cup barbecue sauce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 tbsp red hot sauce
- 2 tbsp green salsa (or green hot sauce)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- 1
Preheat oven to 425°F. Spread the 1 lb frozen fries on a baking sheet in a single layer. Bake until golden and crispy, about 25 minutes, shaking halfway.
- 2
While fries bake, warm the 2 cups pulled chicken in a skillet over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until hot and slightly sizzling, about 5 minutes.
- 3
Stir the 1/2 cup barbecue sauce into the chicken. Cook for 2 minutes until the sauce coats the chicken and looks glossy.
- 4
When fries are done, transfer them to a serving platter. Sprinkle with the 1/2 tsp salt and 1/4 tsp black pepper.
- 5
Pile the saucy chicken over the hot fries. Sprinkle the 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese evenly on top.
- 6
Drizzle the 2 tbsp red hot sauce and 2 tbsp green salsa over the whole dish. Serve immediately while hot and melty.
- 7
Optional: add a dollop of sour cream or chopped scallions if you have them.
