Ingredients

  • 2 cups glutinous rice (sushi rice works), cooked and cooled
  • 1 cup rotisserie pork, shredded
  • 8 leaves bamboo leaves, dried
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 stalks green onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

    Soak bamboo leaves in hot water for 3 minutes until pliable, then pat dry.

    Toss shredded pork with soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onion in a bowl.

    Lay one bamboo leaf flat, place 3 tbsp rice in the center, then 1 tbsp pork filling on top.

    Fold leaf corners toward center to create a snug pyramid, then fold in half and tie with twine if needed.

    Steam parcels in a bamboo or metal steamer over boiling water for 8 minutes until heated through.

    Remove from steamer and let cool 2 minutes. Serve warm.
