Ingredients
- 8 oz pasta (such as bucatini or penne)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium onion
- 15 oz tomato sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup breadcrumbs

Preheat oven to 375°F. Cook the 8 oz pasta in salted boiling water until just shy of al dente, about 7 minutes; drain and set aside.

In a large skillet over medium-high, cook the 1 lb ground beef and 1 diced onion until beef is browned and onion is soft, about 8 minutes. Stir in the 15 oz tomato sauce and simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.

Combine the cooked pasta with the meat sauce and 1/2 cup of the mozzarella. Transfer to a baking dish and top with the remaining 1/2 cup mozzarella and the 1/2 cup breadcrumbs.
