Ingredients
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- ¼ cup ouzo
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 tbsp fresh dill, chopped
Instructions
- 1
Pat the 1 lb shrimp dry with paper towels. Season with salt and pepper.
- 2
Heat 2 tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high. Add the shrimp in a single layer and cook until pink and just opaque, about 2 minutes per side. Remove to a plate.
- 3
Reduce heat to medium. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Pour in 1/4 cup ouzo and let it bubble, scraping up any browned bits, about 1 minute.
- 4
Return the shrimp to the skillet. Stir in the juice of 1 lemon and 2 tbsp chopped dill. Cook until the sauce slightly thickens and coats the shrimp, about 1 minute.
- 5
Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges and a small bowl of the pan sauce for dipping.
